ARCOSIC Research offers
research, and development services covering the whole
spectrum of custom radio system design: from concept to product
prototype development, from RF, micro- and millimeter wave bands to
baseband, from antenna design, to RFIC design, and dedicated signal
processing.
We are experienced in all of these demanding areas in industrial design
projects, and are strongly networked both in academia and industry to
leverage third-party point expertise, if appropriate.
We are considering systems up to Ku- band, however, with a strong focus
on ISM band solutions below 6 GHz. While we use off-the-shelf RF
components wherever technically and economically sensible, one of our
main areas of future activity will be RFIC design (in CMOS, and bipolar
Si(Ge) technologies). We target high-value solutions of low to medium
volume, realized in technologies with 0.13 microns and larger feature
sizes.
Additionally, we are active in the development of specialized software
simulation tools to aid our work, and on contract basis on request.
Usually, our projects start with consulting services, and an initial
research phase, during which we focus on specific aspects of the
customer's requirements. This is followed by the development of a
proof-of-concept prototype, or demonstrator. For low volume
designs, we offer also the subsequent product development. For
higher volumes, the customer develops the final product according to
his in-house development process. ARCOSIC Research supports and escorts
the customer during this venture on request.
